Established in 1924, Brotherhood invites the men of our congregation to participate in worship, service, fundraising, and fellowship for over a century of community.
Brotherhood, established in 1924, invites men to participate in a variety of activities. Brotherhood members serve as ushers and greeters for Shabbat and Holiday services, coordinate multiple annual fundraisers, organize the Annual Temple Hanukkah party, participate in the community-wide Purim carnival, and volunteer for a variety of other Temple projects.
In the early days of our congregation, the synagogue was truly the center of spiritual, social, and educational Jewish activities. Brotherhood was at the heart of that life, and remains so today. We are proud to be the only congregation in the Youngstown area with an active Sisterhood and Brotherhood.
All men who are members of Congregation Ohev Beth Sholom are welcome to join Brotherhood. Membership in Brotherhood is free for the first year of Temple membership. To join, please fill out the form below or download the printable Brotherhood Membership Form from our website.
