Educational programming at our congregation offers congregants opportunities to embark on a journey of learning and spiritual growth. Members of all ages are challenged to think, question, and contribute creatively to our common journey.
A variety of adult educational opportunities are available, including classes taught by the Rabbi and programs sponsored through Brotherhood and Sisterhood on contemporary topics of Jewish and general interest.
Additionally, the greater Youngstown Area Jewish community offers shared programs and Jewish learning opportunities through the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown, CJE (Commission for Jewish Education), and the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation.
OBS also participates in the PJ Library program, providing free, high-quality Jewish children’s literature and music monthly to families raising Jewish children from six months through eight years, with books now also available for pre-teens, teens, parents, and grandparents. PJ Library events are open to the broader Youngstown community.
